Parallel consciousness

The parallel consciousness of self and others is the key to transforming mentalities and reshaping societies 

This is the philosophy of the Martinican writer, poet, philosopher, and literary theorist, Édouard Glissant (September 21, 1928 – February 3, 2011) who is considered one of the most significant figures in Caribbean thought and Francophone literature. 

 It is the philosophy that informs this blog about Wakkerstroom and its people, creatures, places and history. 

 Years ago, when I was living in Bez Valley in Johannesburg, I started a blog about the area and it became a source of personal fulfillment and evolution - and was also appreciated by others in the area and beyond.
